Statistical methods / analysis
Based on expected rate of 20% undiagnosed diabetes, 1000 patients will enter this study.
Absolute levels of patients with dysglycaemia will be reported. Levels of previously unknown dysglycaemia will be reported.
Relations between HbA1c levels and eGFR will be performed, HbA1c and degree of coronary artery, eGFR and degree of coronary artery disease will be assessed by analysis of (co) variance

This is a prospective observational study in all adults seen in ward 38 for coronary angiogram.

Procedure
1. Informed consent will not be obtained as this is a low risk procedure and is often part of normal clinical practice.
2. A blood test for HbA1c and eGFR will be obtained on all patients prior to angiogram
3. General practitioners or usual care physicians will be informed if a patient is newly diagnosed as having diabetes.
