Statistical methods / analysis
All data from the study will be analysed using the version of SPSS that is current at the time of analysis, with the alpha level set at 0.05. The data will be screened to identify and correct any data entry errors. This process will follow the recommended procedures described by Pallant (2011). The analysis will be using descriptive data and correlational analysis to determine the relationship between the dependent (e.g. CPR knowledge) and independent variables (e.g. sex, age, years of experience etc.). Different types of descriptive statistics will be used including numerical, percentage, measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode), measures of variability (range, SD, variance). Statistical tests to examine relationships between dependent and independent variables such as Chi-square and Mann-Whitney U tests will be utilised.

Summary
Brief summary
The primary aim of the study is to explore the knowledge, attitude and practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) among New Zealand podiatrists. Currently, no studies have been conducted in this area in New Zealand (NZ). The study consists of a short online questionnaire that will be administered online. Any NZ registered podiatrist currently practising in NZ is allowed to participate. The study will be promoted through podiatry NZ special interest groups and related social media pages. The findings of the study will be published in appropriate peer-reviewed journals and presented at the Podiatry NZ conference (if possible). The authors hope that the study will create a discussion about the current CPR knowledge and competency of podiatrists in NZ.
